ATV & SNOWMOBILING

Langlade County provides an abundance of opportunities for everyone to enjoy both ATVing as well as snowmobiling.  In the winter months there are over 500 miles of beautifully groomed snowmobile and ATV trails.  These trails are maintained for the enjoyment and use of the public by 11 different local clubs and Langlade County.  Our wonderful trail system in Langlade County and statewide would not be possible without the dedicated club members and the private landowners that are gracious enough to allow trails over their properties.

The trails within Langlade County are scenic and traverse glacial terrain, upland hardwood, cedar swamps, farm fields, as well as small streams and lakes.  The City of Antigo, Wisconsin allows snowmobile access through their jurisdiction.  Winter trails close to ATV’s when the temperature is above 28◦ F., as damage to the packed trail can occur when temperatures rise above that point.

In addition, Langlade County also offers two Spring/Summer/Fall ATV trails:

Augustyn Springs Trail:  Located in the northeast part of the county with 20 miles of rolling to very hilly terrain.  This two-way trail travels on old logging roads which are also open to motor vehicle traffic, snowmobilers, hikers, skiers and many other recreationalists.  Use caution and appropriate speed.  This trail is in an area containing many other wood trails, so be alert.

Parrish Highlands Trail:  Located in the northwest part of the county with 55 miles of scenic terrain.  This trail links up with the Lincoln County ATV trail system.  This two-way trail travels on old logging roads which are also open to motor vehicle traffic, snowmobilers, hikers, skiers and many other recreationalists.  Trail riding is NOT allowed in the early spring due to wetness.
