Rafting & Kayaking in Langlade County

The famous Wolf River is located in the eastern part of Langlade County. This stretch of water is considered one of the best whitewater rivers in the Midwest! The Wolf goes from quiet, calm water in the northern section to complex rapids in the southern sections.  North of Pearson is "calm", while south of Highway T is a steep gradient with rapids up to 3/4 mile in length.  Rafting conditions depend on the water level and time of year. Spring run-off is one of the most challenging obstacles. You are sure to find thrills on your rafting ride down the Wolf River in Langlade County!

It is important to remember, the Wolf River is a powerful stream. It demands great respect and rafting on it requires good health, stamina, and judgement. The southern sections are not recommended for young children or non-swimmers due to the complex rapids. It is recommended to contact the outfitters for proper age requirements.

To make sure you have an enjoyable outing it is highly recommended that you go through one of the excellent rafting outfitters in the area.

The calmer stretches of the Wolf River are also favorite spots for tubing. Contact us for more information!
